Getting accurate, repeatable results with a miter gauge can be difficult when the blade alignment is off. In most cases this is the result of misalignment between the miter slot, fence and blade to produce a perfect cut, the saw blade and rip fence must be exactly parallel to the miter slot. The Pinnacle Saw Gauge is designed to satisfy this need. It’s the first alignment tool that automatically adjusts to the width of the miter slot through the use of three precision ground steel pins. Regardless whether the slot is 5/8' wide like many older saws, 3/4' wide like most current models this unique arrangement will ensure a perfect fit and smooth traveling up and down the miter slot. Another exclusive feature is its ability to be set at one distance to align the blade then in an instant be reset to a different distance for checking the fence and back to the exact original location for comparison measurements. No knobs, no tools, no recalibration. Comes in a fitted MDF case for safe storage. Made in the USA except for the dial indicator which is imported. Our new Miter Slot Nuts will. Turned from steel, zinc plated and sized to fit most standard 3/4-inch x 3/8-inch miter channels in both table saws and router tables. The centered is drilled and tapped with 1/4 -20 threads and counter bored to fit the head of standard hex bolts. In fact it has room for standard diameter sockets. A cheaper alternative now, though, is a Mag-Dro miter-slot caliper base. Just attach your own 6' caliper (digital or otherwise). The base is just $10ish. Might be a good alternative since the table saw gauge gets used the day you get it to calibrate the fence and adjust table to get the miter slots parallel the blade. This video is from the full How-To story on www.newwoodworker.com that has lots of photos and many details about this simple but effective fix for 'sticky' m.

Few (if any) manufacturers have even tried to make blanks like this because producing a multi-stage lamination without excessive glue lines or voids proved almost impossible. Woodcraft’s found a manufacturer that has not only proven that it can be done, but also has created a complete line of fanciful pen blanks.

Excellent Product!
I had thought my new table saw was in error... my cuts were simply not perfect. I invested in one of these little beauties and discovered it wasn't my perfectly aligned new Table Saw at all. This thing is a must have. Now to perfect my cutting abilities!Instructions could probably have more samples of how to use this tool. But otherwise, top notch!
much needed product

Not worth the money.
I purchased this item hoping for a quick and easy way to verify alignment of my saw blade to my miter slot, as well as my fence. However, I soon came to realize that this tool is a horrible unitasker. It can ONLY be used to measure those things, and for the cost, not really worth it. I was hoping to be able to measure the arbor play, and some alignment checks on router tables and bandsaws, but the mechanism is very restrictive...you can only use it in a table saw. :-( The rollers also create about .002' worth of play in the alignment which is UNACCEPTABLE in a product like this. I will keep looking for a better tool.
A fine peice of USA made equipment
Now I know that my table saw is in the best possible tune.

Not a bad choice
A product that will help align but it could be more stable when moving along the miter slot.

There is a great video floating around the internet that shows other uses for alligning that is much easier to watch and understand this products use instead of relying only on the included instructions.
